Question about cost and value

I wish to purchase Steem via Bittrex and learned that I need to first purchase Bitcoin. I checked the Bitcoin price and it's spiked up quite a bit since yesterday.

Let's say I were to purchase $50 worth of Bitcoin at the price of, say, 4600. If the price of Bitcoin wend down $50 to 4550 that doesn't mean the Bitcoin I purchase is worth 0 now, correct?

What is my Bitcoin worth now?
