Quick question about polo markets.

I use bittrex but considering switching to poloniex. Polo has usdt.. So In theory if I believed btc is going to drop I can sell my btc for usdt wait out the market correction/ the dip whatever you wanna call it, and then I can buy btc with usdt, since my understanding is usdt is 1 to 1 ratio of the US dollar.

Am I correct about USDT on polo?
