Futures and the price of BTC

I've been passively hearing a lot about how futures are going to come in (just a few days now). Does anyone want to speculate as to how they'll effect the btc price?

From what I understand, it'll allow people to pump the price, then cash in with futures, then drop the price because of the power of their market share ("they" being wall street investors with a boat-ton of money to burn). Does this sound accurate? Am I missing something here?
