Is it better to daytrade between USD and crypto or between Bitcoin and crypto?

So I am fairly new to this and I learned some techniques for daytrading. I want to focus on all kinds of coins/crypto. Should I keep Bitcoin as my main currency or should I keep USD as main currency? So should I daytrade between USD and crypto or between Bitcoin and crypto?

I am really bad at explaining what I mean, sorry.
