Bitfinex & U.S.

Howdy, folks!

Bitfinex now denies service to US citizens - but does anyone know exactly what that entails? I'm assuming that I can't withdraw USD or other fiat. But I'm wondering if I can send over ETH or BTC to trade for alts, then transfer the alt back to my wallet.

Anyone have experience with that? Do I need to be verified to even transfer coins?
