What is the cause behind altcoins price drop?

Hey guys, i'm trying to understand what is behind of the altcoins price drop, that in most of cases goes from 5% to 20% drop.

But what does cause it? It's due to Bitcoin and Ethereum drops? Can the most recent news about china planning a crackdown on ICO's affect this?
