What trading platform is safe nowadays?!

Hey guys,

im completely new to the crypto market. i have read several threads to try and figure out which trading platform to start using.

to my surprise, i keep reading about problems with support and withdrawing money from poloniex and kraken(!).

is it all rubbish or should i be very cautious? which trading platform should i use? i want to trade altcoin as well.
