Holiday Weekend Price Drop?

There seems to be a theory that there are mass sell-offs during holiday weekends in the crypto sphere? I was curious, is there any quantitative evidence of this? I do remember my portfolio taking a beating Memorial Day weekend, but that's not exactly quantitative. I would find it odd that an American holiday would have such an effect on what is a global 24/7 market.

Considering going all Fiat where I can this weekend.
