Is there an S&P 500 for Crypto?

It troubles me that the entire crypto market is measured by a single Cryptocurrency (BTC). it is ironic and unacceptable that the market for decentralized currencies has developed an implicit single point of failure. The S&P 500 is regarded as one of the best for the stock market but has flaws when translated into the world of crypto.

I am interested in the development of Decentralized Cryptocurrency Indexes. What work has already been done in this area?
