Best site or platform to trade the most variety of coins? What about for fast day trading (fast/cheap fees)?

Coinbase seems to be for investors or people that just want to get involved and watch, but I want to be a bit more hands on and get involved in a lot of different alt coins especially new ones just coming out. where can i do this and for the best cost and fastest systems?
